With upcoming matches against Ecuador and Chile, Greg Berhalter has called in his 24-man squad. The international break gives Berhalter his pick of the litter from the player pool, yet 14 players return from the January camp and 15 play their football in Major League Soccer. There are some surprise inclusions, especially in the back where older players that have little chance of making a World Cup roster are featured. And more notable are the exclusions of young guns like Josh Sergent and Tim Weah who seem like a shoe in for the squad who (we hope) are headed to Qatar.
What are your thoughts? Too many MLS players? Rather see Sergent and Weah with the first team instead of with the U-23’s? Any surprises?
